This is a result of a review message I sent to the authors of "Small Print". In it, I talked about a scene in the fic where Robin gets punished for stealing the controller and an image popped up in my head of Slade being overly possessive of the TV. The thought just would not leave me alone, so I decided to draw it.
Congratulate me! This is the first traditional art piece I have drawn in months(quite possibly a year ). And just like all of my traditional art pieces, I went all out for this one, using the full force of all the arsenal I have at my disposal. This is marker, crayon, colored pencil, sharpie pen, and watercolor. And just so you know, I did Robin on a seperate piece of paper and then glued him on after Slade and his couch were done. The background is also seperate from the couch and Slade(one piece) the wall and floor being two seperate pieces as well. The "enraged Slade" panel is seperate, the speech bubbles are seperate; from now on you are all required to call me the "Puzzle Master", for all my art works are just a layering of puzzle pieces. It helps to know that in the midst of all this "piecing" my heightened vision goes beyond the metaphysics to view the finished product at the end.
For those unasked questions that may or may not be there:
Yes, Slade does incorporate his favorite colors into his decor, along with the gear and cog theme(you know the man has an industrial factory fetish; the sounds of gears turning makes him hard ). Also, I know you recognized the stained glass windows from the hideout he shared with Terra; it was much fun rediscovering watercolors for this!
Yes, even though Robin is his apprentice he is not in Slade's uniform because 1. I'm lazy; there were more references of him in regular costume, 2. it is symbolic. Yes, I'm going to try and say that I planned it with a deeper meaning the whole time, so what? It makes it easier to see Robin, and it emphasizes the fact that the two are at odds right now.
Yes, Slade is a Rachael Ray fan. He likes to cook tasty meals that also have low carbs and low fat.
No, I am not a part of the "Rachael Ray Sucks Community" but I am with them in spirit. The woman makes the nastiest most tasteless crap and her vocabulary for describing her meals is restricted to "gorgeous", "beautiful", "awesome", and "yummy". I find her endlessly annoying and because of her I now whole-heartedly support the theory that people who smoke(which, she does) should not be teaching others how to cook, let alone have their own cooking show. I do not want to eat something recommended by someone whose tastebuds and sense of smell is dulled. Heaven forbid it ends up tasting like ash.
If you are confused about the picture hanging on Slade's wall, I'm submitting it next, so don't worry.
I do not own Slade, the Teen Titans or Rachael Ray.
so good poor robin ^^ and the torture continuous
the poses are awesome! and i love the couch i want it too ^^
